After spending 24 years at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), Jeff Jasper retired as the Director of Highway Design. In this position, he oversaw programs and projects in the preconstruction area. Currently teaches Kentucky’s classes on the Roadside Design Guide, ADA Accessible Sidewalk Facilities, Basic Highway Plan Reading, and Preconstruction Project Management Courses. Jeff now works at the University of Kentucky Transportation Center as a Research Engineer and Trainer in the Division of Traffic and Safety.

KYTC’s Standards Engineer (2002-2009). This position serves as KYTC’s roadside safety expert and works directly with Traffic Safety on safety initiatives.
Panel member on Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, Lane Departure Committee (2002-2005).
Program creator and project manager for KYTC’s cable barrier program (2003-2009).
Responsible for KYTC Highway Design Manual, including revision efforts (principal author) (2002-2006).
