This course focuses on utilizing some of the more advanced road design functions contained in ORD with an emphasis on modeling. Students will complete example design problems in the areas of: Creating advanced Templates and End Conditions, including: Display Rules, Null Points, Labels, Target options etc; Corridor Modeling including: Horizontal and Vertical Point Controls, Parametric Constraints, Target Aliasing and Clipping (using multiple corridors); Overlay tools including components for Overlays, Leveling and Milling; Modeling Entrances including: placing Civil Cells and using Linear Templates and Surface Templates.
Students should have a basic working knowledge of OpenRoads Designer.
This training course guides you through an OpenRoads Designer (ORD) roadway workflow using terrain models, civil geometry, dynamic profiles, creating templates, corridor modeling, dynamic sections, volumes, plottable sections, plan and profile creation as well as proposed terrain model creation.More Information
This 2-day course exposes students to the entire workflow for using OpenRoads Designer (ORD) Survey. Students import data from a number of sources, reduce it to coordinates, display the results and correct coding errors. The data is then used to generate reports for uploading, terrains for design and graphics for planimetrics. This course is recommended surveyors and others who are will use ORD Survey for the office-side of preparing survey data to pass on to designer and/or uploading.More Information
